I want to share with you the top five videos that shaped my – yet short – life so far. Maybe you need something to replace your daily YouTube lunch video or evening Netflix?
1) On privacy, anonymity and individuality:
Any talk from Steven Rambam at any HOPE conference is worth watching. As a bonus, the way Steven talks and presents is super captivating and entertaining.
2) On the rise of artificial intelligence, singularity and blockchain:
Trent McConaghy talks about Decentralized Autonomous Artificial Intelligence Organizations, human mind uploading and everything else you saw on Black Mirror.
2.5) The same concept the approach is focused more on how blockchain technologies will seamlessly work together with nature.
3) On writing clean code:
The one and only Uncle Bob demonstrates the need to write clean code. However, you don't start with it. It's an iterative process and one should spend the same if not more time to refactor after the initial version is ready.
4) On the implications of context switching:
An entertaining short demonstration of the massive implications of switching tasks. I also highly recommend checking out Henrik Kniberg in general; From Agile/Lean and Climate Change to Spotify and Minecraft. He has one of the most interesting CVs I have ever seen.
5) On the ordinary life and taking a shot in the dark:
I am a big fan of Charles Bukowski's poetry. While I don't share every view in this video, I strongly subscribe to the aversion of the "ordinary life" and I cherish his views on believing in yourself.
📽 What about you?
